Copeland, KS

This project is scheduled for June 3 – 10, 2011.  This project will add needed space to the size of their existing sanctuary using World Mission Builders plus volunteers from Copeland.  The church will provide 3 meals a day and housing in an empty parsonage owned by the church members homes.  RV parking is available next door. Hominy, Ok

This project is to build two chapels at the Dick Conner Correctional Center,  at Hominy, OK.  A small chapel, approximately 3000 sq ft., will be built outside the fence for the minimum offenders to be erected near their housing unit.  The larger chapel approximately 5,000 sq. ft. will be built inside the fence for the medium security offenders.

The dates are September 16-October 1, 2011. Meals and fellowship will be in two large outdoor tents.  RV hookups are available on the site (outside the fence!) and housing available in the area homes.  (If you prefer, I could ask the warden if she has an extra bunk inside one of the dorms inside the fence.)  DCCC has a new warden who really wants the chapels built and they have a chaplain who really who could certainly maximize the use of two chapels.
